Jervis Bay Kayaks runs a fortnightly kayak paddle every second Friday. We kick off at 7am and are back by 8:30am. For those with a bit of extra time, we like to grab a coffee afterwards.
Our mission is to promote the wonderful sport of kayaking and give paddlers an opportunity to meet fellow kayakers, explore our local waterway and develop their skills in a safe and friendly environment. We will be paddling in Jervis Bay and surrounds (weather permitting) and generally using launch sites at Plantation Point, Sharknet Beach, Greenpatch and Callala Bay. That way we can take in different parts of the bay and experience all that is to offer in what is a world class paddling destination.
In the Future we may also plan some longer or more advanced trips and look further afield for group paddles.
The paddling group is coordinated and led by Bart Malecki. Bart is one of the Directors of the Jervis Bay Kayaks store in Huskisson. He is a paddling tragic and a qualified Australian Canoeing Association Sea Guide.
The group is informal, free and open to anyone wishing to expand their paddling horizons, pick up some new skills or just hang out on the water with other paddlers. We are not a formal club but we do have some minimal equipment requirements (outlined below) and will ask paddlers to sign a waiver and participation form.
