The JBK Explorer Trip is offered as a second phase to our Session 1 Sea Kayaking Program and as an avenue for you to get some experienced under the supervision of a Professional , Qualified Sea Kayaking Guide. So whether you have been paddling years and want to experience some of our amazing coastlines, or you have just completed a Sea Kayaking Skills Program, these Paddling Trips will build confidence, and assist with your assessing limitations to yur future Paddling Adventures but are not quite confident enough yet to venture out a little further or paddle on your own to more exposed places then these tailored advanced paddling tours are just the thing for you. We have the "Explorer Sea Kayaking Trip" (Intermediate level ) and the "Adventurer Sea Kayaking Trip" (next level ) designed to further your skills and experience in different coastal environments in the safe hands of a qualified Guide/Instructor. Put the skills you have learned into practice whilst enjoying a day on the water with fellow enthusiasts of your own level.

OUTLINE: Pre-Requisites: MINIMUM experience is established in our Basic Sea Skills Session 1 or equivalent or Logged record of experience. Paddlers must be able to swim, Be able to perform a controlled WET EXIT, Be familiar with Paddle Float Self Rescue and Assisted Rescue techniques. A paddler must be able to competently handle a kayak & perform basic paddling strokes. 1. Overview: Safety & Communication on the Water, Weather Considerations & Route Planning. 2. Paddling Trip: – Minimum 3hrs paddling duration inside Jervis Bay in sheltered areas, divided into two sessions by a morning tea break (Provided) of approx 45min. Approx Distance 10klm. Your Overnight Adventure Package will allow ample opportunity to take in Jervis Bay without the pressures of time and having to rush back to civilisation at the end of the first day. Four season tunnel tents, self Inflating mattress and cooking equipment can be provided to ensure your comfort. This is a self Catered adventure and a list of things for you to bring can be provided to help advise you if you are not an experienced camper. All you really need then is a sleeping bag, clothing and personal items, we can supply the rest.
